Our projects on the use of African Indigenous Vegetables in Kenya and Zambia is proceeding to the intervention phase. We recently completed data collection on 500 households in both countries and will begin promoting the cultivation and marketing of AIVs by the end of this year. Recently, we received pilot funding to conduct a clinical study of the effect of consuming AIVs on micronutrient status, a project also slated to begin very soon. Below are photos and videos from our focus groups and discussions with schools who will participate in our research. To highlight the importance of this work, we recently published a paper on the temporal changes in childhood nutrition problems in Kenya and Zambia.
